How 1099Policy Ensures Contractor Compliance With Insurance Requirements

Ensuring that every contractor a company engages is covered by an appropriate workers’ compensation or general liability policy is an expensive and time-consuming process. 1099Policy eliminates the complexities of compliance. Here are the two ways we do it.

First, we integrate with onboarding platforms to enforce that, for applicable types of work, a contractor must purchase a policy in order to accept a work assignment. We only offer and bind policies that meet the contracting entity’s requirements. This “gate” in the onboarding process ensures that every contractor has the right coverage, each and every time they work for the contracting entity.

Second, we send a digital confirmation to the contracting entity when a contractor has obtained a policy. To support audits or inquiries from contracting entities’ insurance carriers, we can also provide copies of contractors’ certificates of insurance on demand. We maintain a single source of truth for which contractor had what level of coverage, and when.

There’s no need to have a staff of individuals scrutinizing policies for compliance. Simply tell us your policy requirements and we’ll take care of the rest. And if you ever need assistance down the road, we’ll be here to help. It’s that easy.
