Manual reviews

When a contractor decides to purchase insurance through our platform, they will receive a link to complete an insurance application. This application process involves confirming existing information and answering a few questions. While most applications are processed within minutes, some may require a manual review by the 1099Policy team.

Response times

If an application is flagged for manual review, our team will examine it within 24 hours. If your application has been under manual review for more than 24 hours, please contact support@1099policy.com

Why applications may be flagged
  1. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) check

We check every contractor's name against the OFAC sanctions list to ensure compliance with international regulations. Occasionally, this check may result in a false positive, meaning the system mistakenly identifies a match. In such cases, our team will manually review the contractor's details to resolve the issue.

  2. Insurance claims or losses

If a contractor has reported insurance claims or losses within the last three years, their application may also require manual review. This step is necessary to confirm that the contractor meets the eligibility and risk criteria set by our insurance partners.

Track an application

To help you stay informed, we recommend setting up notifications for any updates regarding your application status. This way, you can receive real-time alerts if your application is moved to manual review and know when it has been processed.

By understanding the manual review process, you can better navigate the insurance application journey and ensure a smooth experience. If you have any questions or need further assistance, our support team is here to help.
