Worksuite setup and troubleshooting

Worksuite integrates seamlessly with 1099Policy to offer per-assignment insurance coverage to Worksuite freelancers, without leaving the Worksuite onboarding flow.

This guide is meant for enterprises that have already set up the connection between 1099Policy and Worksuite.

  • To connect Worksuite and 1099Policy, please first see our developer documentation.

  • If you’re new to Worksuite entirely, learn more here.

Create assignments and onboard contractors (for agency reps)

Enterprise agency reps mostly follow the same steps to launch campaigns and onboard contractors in Worksuite when offering 1099Policy as they would otherwise.

Before going through the workflow, please ensure the following fields are completed:

  • Contractor's address (and in particular their home state);

  • Amount contractor will be paid;

  • Contractor's work state; and

  • Contractor's email address

Note that we ingest other fields as well, including assignment description, and start and end date, etc.

Once the required fields are completed and you're ready to onboard creators and launch your campaign, please follow these steps:

  • Create the assignment in Worksuite

  • Add contractors to the assignment

  • Add the contractor's wage amount

Congratulations🥂, you now have everything you need to successfully sync between Worksuite and 1099Policy. You can now navigate to the 1099Policy dashboard to view your Worksuite freelancers and their insurance applications.

Troubleshooting steps

If a creator hasn't synced from Worksuite to 1099Policy, here are a few details to check in Worksuite:

  • Is the campaign start date set in the future?
    The campaign start date must be set in the future, as 1099Policy uses campaign start and end dates to determine coverage start and end dates. We cannot issue retroactive coverage.

  • Is the hiring entity located in the United States?
    If the hiring entity is based outside the U.S., the contractor will not be able to procure coverage via the Worksuite / 1099Policy integration. If a contractor is hired out of the U.S. by a foreign entity and you believe they are eligible for coverage, please contact support@1099policy.com to discuss options.

If you're still not seeing the contractor in 1099Policy, please contact support@1099policy.com, and copy your Worksuite rep.
